PURPOSE:To provide the method for formation of masks for printing which enables even an unskilled person to efficiently form the masks without errors and to simultaneously from an opaque plate for opaquing the unnecessary image of an original. CONSTITUTION:A block copy original 11 is read by using an input means. The read original image is stored into a storage means and is displayed on a display means. The information on a coloring region and the image region to be opaqued are instructed by an instructing means to the image displayed on the display means in accordance with a plate making instruction 12. The region information and coloring information of the information on the instructed coloring region are stored in a storage means and the computation to divide the coloring region in accordance with coloring components is executed. The divided color mask plate with the region which is the result of the computation as an aperture part is outputted by an output means and the opaque plate to shield the light of only the image region to be opaqued is outputted as a separate plate by the output means. |
