PURPOSE:To provide a failure diagnostic knowledge forming device capable of obtaining diagnostic knowledge of fixed quality and highly efficiently forming the knowledge. CONSTITUTION:A reliability block diagram editor 11 edits reliability block diagram type knowledge based upon input data and stores the knowledge in a storage part 13. A general purpose knowledge editor 12 forms general purpose knowledge from the input data and stores the knowledge in a storage part 14. The 1st converter 15 interpretes the knowledge stored in the storage part 13, forms an FMEA sheet in each part, retrieves the storage part 14 based upon a part name, and when the knowledge corresponding to the part name exists, fills the failure mode and cause column of the FMEA sheet corresponding to the part name with data, and then stores the sheet in an FMEA type knowledge storing part 16. Knowledge is furthermore added to the FMEA sheet by an FMEA type knowledge editor 17. The knowledge stored in the storing part 16 is converted into CDM type knowledge by the 2nd converter 18 and the CDM type knowledge is stored in a storage part 6. |
