The filter is made in filter paper and is shaped to form a receptacle (2) to hold a portion of ground coffee, or other product. A lid (5), cut out in filter paper, is fixed to the peripheral upper edge (3) of the receptacle. The lid is heat-sealed to the receptacle and the joint is toothed (7) to reinforce it. The filter is put inside the metallic filter of a coffee maker. The edge of the joint covers the perimeter of its opening and positions the filter inside the metallic filter.
