The weatherproof sealing has a layer of non-woven material of glass fibres or polyester or polypropylene fibres, coated with a modified bitumen. The bitumen contains a polyolefin of polypropylene, polyethylene or an ethylene-propylene copolymer or other alpha-polyolefins, together with a mineral additive to give 3-35 wt.% polyolefin and 0-30 wt.% mineral additive. The bitumen, at 35 deg.C, allows nail penetration up to 35/10mm. The insulating layer is secured to the vapour barrier by at least one bonding glue with a strength at least equal to the barrier at the same temp. of 35 deg.C. USE/ADVANTAGE - The cladding is for weatherproof sealing of balconies, roofings, and similar applications. The insulation is resistant to anticipated temps. at the building, without distortion or peeling.
