PURPOSE:To prevent the rise of the internal pressure of a battery and the lowering of discharge capacity of the battery at the last stage of charging by using a negative electrode made of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode, in which carbon black is evenly distributed as the conductive powder. CONSTITUTION:A metal oxide.hydrogen battery is provided with a positive electrode 2 made of metal oxide and a negative electrode 1 mainly composed of the alkali electrolyte, hydrogen storage alloy and the conductive powder. As this conductive powder, carbon black having the characteristic that the residual material through a wet type centrifugal filter at 20mum is 13weight% or less is used. |
