PURPOSE:To efficient treat sewage by relaxing the treatment condition in the sewage treatment equipment provided on the downstream side of the garbage treatment apparatus attached to a sink. CONSTITUTION:A changeover valve 10 is provided to the drain piping 9 of the garbage treatment apparatus 2 attached to a sink 1 to select the respective discharge routes to the high load sewage treatment part 7 and low load sewage treatment part 8 of the sewage treatment equipment 6 provided on the downstream side of the garbage treatment apparatus 2 corresponding to high load sewage containing the ground garbage discharged from the garbage treatment apparatus 2 and low load sewage containing no ground garbage.
