METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SHEET CROWN

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of control accuracy of sheet crown by reducing the error in the estimated value of sheet crown in a method by which the sheet crown at the time of rolling is controlled by computing control. CONSTITUTION:In the method for controlling sheet crown by computing control that the controlled variable of a crown control mechanism the sheet crown using an estimation model of sheet crown is determined, when the sheet crown computed taking only the elastic deformation of roll into consideration is corrected taking the deformation in the breadthwise direction of a rolled stock, the ratio of thickness distortion to length distortion given as a function of rolling condition is used in the estimation model of sheet crown.
