PURPOSE:To update a management data base without manual aid by storing picture data prepared and corrected by a picture processing terminal in a picture preserving means, and updating the management data base. CONSTITUTION:In the case that picture processing is executed by using a station 24, for instance, connected to a network, the picture data preserved in one of the external storage devices 32, 34, 36 of a picture management device 30 is read out, and is imparted to that station 24 through a transmission line 22, and simultaneously, the picture data is stored temporarily in a magnetic disk 25 connected to that station 24. Then, the picture processing is executed to the picture data stored in the working disk, and the prepared or corrected picture data is preserved again in one of the external storage devices 32, 34, 36 of the picture data management device 30. After the prepared or corrected picture data is preserved in one of the external storage devices 32, 34, 36 in this way, a picture in the working disk may be deleted. |
