PURPOSE:To effect a highly efficient suction purging by a method wherein, at the time of suction, a contact part is brought into contact with the face of a nozzle, a nozzle head is slidably moved on a shaft by a guide pin and the nozzles arranged on the nozzle head are successively subjected to suction purge. CONSTITUTION:When a contact rubber 3 is kept away from a nozzle head 8 after ink suction, the hole of the contact rubber 3 is opened to the outside air, so that the ink which has been drawn in a body 1 is carried out from a drain hole 34. A solenoid is energized to force out an arm plate 15 in the direction of the arrow by its repelling force, so that the contact rubber 3 is brought into contact with the front face of the nozzle head 8. A drain hole 34 provided at the upper part of the body 1 is closed with a rubber cover 22. At this time, a guide pin 2 has not yet moved on the upper part of the nozzle head. |
