PURPOSE:To restrain variation and ununiformity of the wrapping condition of a carcass ply on the periphery of a tire so as to improve the uniformity of the tire by causing no change of periphery of both inner and outer plies at the time of vulcanization, that is, a wrapping displacement action round a bead cord in a radial tire comprising a two-layer carcass ply. CONSTITUTION:At least two surfaces, the base and one side surface of a bead core 5 are coated with a rubber layer 10 having a thickness of 0.3-1.8mm, and an inner ply 1a and an outer ply 1b are respectively wound round the outside of the rubber layer and vulcanized to embed the inner ply 1a in the rubber layer 10. The vulcanizing speed of the rubber layer 10 is decreased by 10-100% as compared with that of the carcass ply where rubber is blended. |
