摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve control accuracy by setting a prescribed air fuel ratio according to directly connecting condition or half engaging condition of a lock up mechanism, in the case where the air fuel ratio of air fuel mixture is controlled to the prescribed air fuel ratio to the side where it is leaner than a theoretical air fuel ratio, when the lock up mechanism of an automatic transmission is in engaged condition. CONSTITUTION:The output torque of an engine 1 is transmitted to driving wheels of a vehicle through the automatic transmission provided with a lock up mechanism. A fuel injection valve 6 arranged in an intake pipe 2 between the engine 1 and a throttle valve 3 is controlled by a ECU 5 on the basis of detecting signals from an oxygen concentration sensor 12 and each kind of sensors 4, 7 to 11, 31 for detecting operating condition of the engine 1. In the ECU 5, a solenoid valve 32 is opening/closing controlled so as to control engaging condition of the lock up mechanism. Namely, when the lock up mechanism is engaged, an air fuel ratio is controlled to the prescribed air fuel ratio of a lean side regardless of a theoretical air fuel ratio. In this case, the prescribed air fuel ratio is corrected according to directly connecting condition or half engaged condition of the lock up mechanism.</p>
