Deep drilling auxiliary tube - has jointless core tube of fluoro resin covered by spirally-wound metal cables including a conductor to detect damage

The auxiliary tube without joints, for deep drilling, has a central core tube (10) of fluorised resin which is rigid, but can be wound into a tube on a reel. At least one layer (12) of metal cables is wound in a spiral round the core tube, and at least one cable (12a) is electrically conductive to detect damage or rupture. An outer sheath (13) of fluorised resin is extruded round the core tube (10) and the layer of cables (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - The auxiliary tube is for deep geothermal or oil drilling, and the like, with a dia. of 20-30 mm, to pass through the drilling tube for a variety of functions. The tube can be produced in very long lengths, without joints, resistant to effects and actions of deep drilling.
