PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing a compound for a bond magnet which can manufacture in a simple step a rare-earth-iron system nitride compound which has a good flow characteristic, and which is readily molded. CONSTITUTION:A rolling movement is made for a magnetic powder represented as a general equation R-Fe-N, and also the powder is pulverized by spraying an organic solvent solution containing additive matter. R in the equation is an element of one kind or more which is selected of rare-earth elements (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, and Y). The surface treatment of the magnetic powder and pulverization can be carried out in one step, and further a flow characteristic of a compound is enhanced by pulverizing. |
