PURPOSE: To prevent penetration of dirt and foreign materials by clamping, operating active coupling elements at a standstill position and passive coupling elements, while clamping. CONSTITUTION: A circular cone surface inside a jaw 31 of a ring 27 works as an alignment surface and it contacts with its corresponding circular-cone shaped alignment surface 33 of a guide ring 7. The jaw 31 can elastically bend in a clamping direction and at the base of the jaw 31 narrow ring grooves 34, 35 extend radially from the outside and inside respectively. Between these ring grooves is formed a thin and flat diaphragm zone 36, extending parallel to a contact surface. Since the diaphragm 36 is elastically deformed by a slight bending and has the jaw 31, an alignment jaw is displaceable exactly in the axial direction but is not allowed of movement in the radial direction. When a holder 4 and the alignment surface contact with each other, a ring clearance is sealed, so that dirt will not prevent an outward movement of an active coupling element 3 and a clamping process. |
