PURPOSE:To accomplish a zoom lens driving just according to a zooming control switch by providing plural storing means for storing every variance in each lens which is generated when a zoom optical system is driven to a telephoto side and a wide side. CONSTITUTION:As to a camera for obtaining the feed-out quantity of a focusing lens from several kinds of table data for obtaining the moving extent of the feed-out of the lens based on information on an object distance and information on a set focal distance, the camera is provided with storing means 1 and 2 for storing the zooming direction of the optical system at the time of zooming, a selecting means for selecting the data out of several kinds of table data based on the stored contents of the storing means 1 and 2, and a calculating means for calculating the feed-out quantity of the focusing lens based on the data selected by the selecting means. And either of the storing means 1 and 2 for respectively storing every variance in each lens which is generated when the zoom lens is driven to the telephoto side, or to the wide side is selected based on the zoom lens driving direction, and then, the arithmetic operation for correcting the focus is performed based on the aforesaid data. |
