PURPOSE:To obtain a composition suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, etc., preventing seizing, occurrence of flaw on the surface of steel material, having excellent wear resistance and operation efficiency, comprising a give amount of a highly basic Ca sulfonate. CONSTITUTION:The composition comprises 20-70wt.% highly basic Ca sulfonate. The composition is separately supplied to rolling operation rolls 1 and 2 and a steel material 5 before rolling, respectively and lubrication of the steel material 5 in hot rolling is carried out. |
