PURPOSE:To provide an N2O removing catalyst capable of decomposing and removing N2O gas even when the concn. of N2O in the exhaust gas from a combustion device such as a boiler becomes high or the temp. of the gas lowers. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas is usually introduced into a nitrous oxide removing catalyst bed 7 at relatively low temp. suppressing the oxidation of sulfur dioxide from a duct 6 and, when there is a tendency to increase the concn. of nitrous oxide in the exhaust gas, the high temp. gas from a duct 11 is mixed with the exhaust gas corresponding to the increasing rate of the concn. of nitrous oxide in the optimum temp. condition for removing nitrous oxide to be introduced into the catalyst bed 7 to remove nitrous oxide in the exhaust gas. |
