PURPOSE:To asynchronously transfer a large quantity of data to a data processing part from a reproducing device of a large-capacity recording medium like a CD-ROM. CONSTITUTION:This data processor consists of a processor main body 1 (game machine main body) and an auxiliary processing part 4. The processor main body 1 is provided with two system busses 18 and 19 and a memory 13 connected to one system bus 18. DMA transfer between two system busses 18 and 19 is possible. The auxiliary processing part 4 reproduces data from the recording medium where data is recorded. The auxiliary processing part 4 is connected to the other system bus 19 to which the memory 13 is not connected. Data from the auxiliary processing part 4 is transferred to the memory 13 of the processor main body 1 by DMA. |
