The device includes two pieces (100,200) to be assembled made up of a female part (100) of a cutout (150) which is accessible from either of its ends (154,152). The other, the male part (200) contains a tongue (210) with a shoulder (212) so that when it is inserted into the opening (154) into the female part, this shoulder engages with a projection (105) in the cutout (150) to clip the two together. A tool (410) inserted into the opening (152) will enable the two parts to be released.If a tongue or clamping wedge (300) is inserted into this opening (152) the two parts are permanently joined together and cannot then be dismantled. Use/Advantage - A method of clamping two components together that can be made a permanent fixture when a wedge is inserted.
