PURPOSE:To automatically remove slacks in paper by a method wherein a first sensor is provided at the starting point of paper slackening in a paper feeding passage, a manipulating piece is provided at a paper drawing part of a paper feeding belt and a second sensor is provided at a shaft part of a transfer or rocking roller. CONSTITUTION:When a tab on a paper feeding belt 17 moving through a paper feeding passage makes a U-turn around a position (a), since a compensator 9 is in an arbitrary moving position T, the slackening of the paper occurs abruptly. When a sensor 21 provided at the starting point (a) of the paper slackening detects an approaching piece 26 attached to the tab or the paper feeding belt 17 near the tab, it supplies a signal to a control device, which sets a rate in which the speed of the paper feeding belt 17 is increased according to the moving position T of the compensator 9 detected by a position detector and gives an instruction of the operation in such a rate to a driving motor for the paper feeding belt 17. When a sensor 22 provided at a shaft 25 of the compensator 9 detects a succeeding tab via the approaching piece 26 attached to the tab or the paper feeding belt 17 near the tab, the control device 23 brings the speed of the paper feeding belt 17 back to the one before the increase. |
