The milling guide (10) of this invention provides a guide (10) having a base (12) with a track (23) (Fig 3) formed therein to slidably accommodate a milling device (not shown) and guide the milling device along the bone. The milling device provides a smooth bone surface and the guide is provided to maintain the milling device generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tibia. A slider (26) is carried by the track (23) and accommodates the milling device to maintain the milling device generally perpendicular relative to the guide (10).
