The dryer has a drive to the drum, with a door for the clothes. Drying air is circulated by a motorised blower, so damp warm air is circulated to a vaporiser, compressor and condenser. In the channel following the condenser to the drum, there is a heating unit, and a heat exchanger in the channel between the drum and vaporiser. The heat exchanger is by-passed until the system reaches a specific temp. The tub (1) pref. has warm air circulated from the heater (12) by the blower (8) utilising the channels (4,5). The drum is driven separately. The air extracted along channel (2) passes the filter in section (13), which is a heat exchanger. ADVANTAGE - The use of the heater is reduced, and the drying time is shortened.
