Jewellery grade diamond synthesis - by carbon@ compression using reaction vol. increase of reagent (mixt.)

A diamond synthesis process involves compression of carbon by a reaction volume increase which is not halted by pressure, the reactant (mixt.) being reacted in a hermetically sealed, high pressure resistant vessel completely filled with the reactant (mixt.) and the carbon. ADVANTAGE - The process produces cm. size diamond single crystals of jewellery quality with 100% carbon conversion to diamond, the carbon comprising a relatively large proportion (about 60%) of the total reaction material.
