An inorganic, moulded, light constructional body consists of air-inflated hollow bodies which are thermally bonded together as a moulding or a strand. Pref., the outer layers of the body contain thick-walled hollow bodies and/or are impregnated. USE/ADVANTAGE - The constructional body is used as a fibre-free, water repellant and non-combustible thermal insulating element. It may be produced from 100% recycled glass, without use of chemical additives, and is weather resistant so that it does not decay and rot.
