The battery powered generator has power MOS transistor modules (1-3) in parallel, which are energised via a common clock pulse generator via e.g. a reed relay. Their control inputs are resistively coupled to their common output. The modules are pref. mounted next to each other on a heat conductive assembly support (25). The modules are in thermal contact with the support and their battery voltage terminals, their control inputs and outputs coupled in parallel by linking rails (13 - 15), mutually parallel and electrically insulated, with two rails (13, 15) in vertical extension. The vertically extending rails are both engaged by respective terminal screws (26, 27), using insulating intermediate layers (32). ADVANTAGE - Compact design, adaptable to different current amplitudes or reliability requirements.
