The module has an arresting device provided for the plug in the housing. The arresting fingers (19) are provided on two opposing sides or positions of the plug housing (16) for the plug in opposing directions against spring force and are pivotable outwards, being retained in the container module (10). The fingers are provided with inclined surfaces, whereby when a plug (17) is inserted in the housing (16) they automatically pivot outwards against spring force which returns the fingers after the plug has been inserted into their arresting positions. For the common pivoting outwards of the arresting fingers into their release positions, only one thrust element (33) is provided, whereby between the thrust element and the arresting fingers mechanical changeover mechanism (31,32,34,35) is provided, which transfer the linear movement of the thrust element into opposing pivot movements of the arresting pins (19). ADVANTAGE - Can be produced cost-favourably and guarantees secure retention of plug in symmetrical position in plug housing.
