The present invention relates to a new compound based on boron and nitrogen of formula (1):

<??>It also relates to a process for the treatment of the compound of formula (1), characterised in that the carbon-carbon triple bonds are partially or entirely reduced to double or optionally to single carbon-carbon bonds.
<??>Moreover, the present invention describes a process for the preparation of polymers based on boron and nitrogen, characterised in that the compound of formula (1) or the product resulting from the reduction of the latter is subjected to a heat treatment in the presence or in the absence of a catalyst of anionic, cationic or radical type and/or based on transition metals.
<??>Finally, the present invention describes a process for the preparation of ceramics based on boron nitride consisting in pyrolysing the polymers obtained above.
