PURPOSE:To obtain molding of a large-sized coil without using metal mold through a simple procedure by a method wherein the leakage suppressing layer of insulating material which has large resistance against air permeation is wound around the coil element providing a duct and is then molded with resin. CONSTITUTION:By spacers 8 made of thermosetting resin being provided between the inner coil 2 and the outer coil 3, ducts 5 are formed. And the coil element is composed in such a manner that the coil element is composed insulating material 9 which has large resistance against air permeation such as aromatic polyamide paper or film being wound on the spacer 8 to eliminate leakage of impregnate resin and puttylike thermosetting resin of high viscosity is applied on bath sides of the coil element and is cured by heating. Then, impregnate resin is injected into this coil element and is cured under the rotation by rotating device 11. By this method, manufacture of a large coil which has good characteristic and applearance is facilitated without using metal molds. |
