<p>A harness assembly for a backpack includes a pair of straps (14), a pair of right angle cinch rings (26), and a buckle (22). The right angle cinch rings (26) allow the straps (14) to be tightened on the chest of the wearer by pulling on the strap ends (21) which are around the wearer's waist and fastening the buckle (22).
