摘要 A process for the continuous determination of organic fluoro cpds. (I) in gases by means of hydrolysis is claimed. The gas contg. (I) is mixed with an aq. soln. of an aromatic amine (II) with a pKa value of 2.0-7.0 and/or an aromatic aminosulphonic acid (III) and/or an amino carboxylic acid (IV) with a pKa2 of 2.0-7.0. The aq. soln. has a pH of 5.0-8.0 and the aq. soln. is sedp. after mixing and the fluoride ion content measured electrochemically. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful fr the continuous determination of (I), such as acetyl fluoride, benzoyl fluoride and cyanurfluoride in gas streams, particularly air and is useful for process control. Use of (II), (III) or (IV) enables a wider range of (I) to be determined rapidly and continuously at low temps. then prior art process.
