This system specially concerns a sub coding circuit of recordable compact disk system which generate subcode for the song selection function and the search function. This circuit includes a shift register (22) which inputs and outputs the 80-bits subcode according to the 1st period and the 2nd period of clock signal, the error detection code generator (24) which generates the error correction code train and outputs it by symbolic data and reset it according to the control signal, a timing circuit (26) which generates control signal, clock signal, and subcode synchronous signal.
