REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL OVERHEAD PROJECTOR

PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the separation polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display element 33 is constituted of a liquid crystal cell 17 on which light from a light source 14 is made incident, the first polarizing plate 18 provided on an opposite side to the light source 14 of the cell 17 and the second polarizing plate 31 provided on the front surface of a screen 32. By a reflection means 19 provided on the opposite side to the cell 17 of the plate 18, the light from the light source 14 is reflected and the display image of the element 33 is projected on the screen 32. Since the light from the light source 14 is enlarged and projected on the plate 31, the plate 31 is hardly damaged by the light.
