PURPOSE:To perform the changeover of single-surface four-color printing and double-surface two-color printing by a reduced number of gears by providing two gears to a common impression cylinder to make either one of them shiftable and making the gears of two blanket cylinders printing either one of the surface and rear of paper at the time of printing using two sets of perfecting units shiftable. CONSTITUTION:When single-surface four-color printing is performed, the engagement of clutch gears 7-1, 6-1 is released. Since the engagement with the attaching shaft 8 of a clutch gear 8-1 is not released, a gear 9-1 is rotated by a gear 3-1 through gears 1-1, 8-2, 8-1. By the rotation of the gear 9-1, the shift gear 9-2 of a common impression cylider and the shift gears 11-2, 13-2 of rear blanket cylinders 11-3, 13-3 are moved and the gear 9 is meshed with gears 10-1, 12-1. Since the gear 9-1 and the gears 11-2, 13-2 are engaged and the gears 11-2, 13-2 are engaged with the lower parts of the wide gears 15-1, 17-1 of rear plate cylinders 15-3, 17-3, all of printing cylinders 9-3-17-3 are rotated. |
