PURPOSE:To perform large-sized recording without increasing cost by forming a restoration means corresponding to the size of a head block and making the head block and the restoration means relatively movable to perform restoration operation at every block. CONSTITUTION:A restoration device is constituted of a cap part 11A moving in an R-R' direction and a restoration support part 11B moving in an S-S' direction. A restoration cap 11a is set to a size sufficient to cap a head block 1a and performs restoration operation by the reciprocating movement of the cap part 11A. In the restoration support part 11B, the left motor 15 raising and lowering the support stand 14 of the cap part 11A is provided and the support stand 14 is raised and lowered by a lead screw 15c through gears 15a,15b. Further, a guide shaft 16 is provided in order to raise and lower the support stand 14. The restoration cap 11a moves corresponding to the heights of head blocks 1a-1d accompanied by the rising and falling of the support stand 14. |
