PURPOSE:To obtain the exchange having a flow control means for packet data improving a data transmission efficiency and minimizing a required memory capacity by executing the deduction of a reply event delay time with a qualitative rule type deduction through the use of a simple membership function. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of data by a packet reception section 21 via a packet line interface section 20, a regulation control section 26 reads the utility rate of a reception buffer 23 and reads an operating rate of a processor from an operating rate measurement section 24 and applies fuzzy deduction to a delay time of a reply event at that point of time according to a membership function registered in an intelligent base 25. Then the transmission of the reply event is delayed by a time in response to the result of deduction, the reply event is sent from a packet transmission section 22. The operating rate measurement section 24 measures the busy state of the processor controlling the private branch of automatic exchange to calculate the operating rate, that is, how the processor in the instruction execution state per unit time is. |
