PURPOSE:To provide the disk storage medium with improved recording density by maintaining the recording density of information and reliability of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:At the center of a discoid disk 1, a center hole 2 and a clamping area 3 are provided, and annular recording areas A and B are formed on the peripheral surface. Four sectors for one track are formed in this recording area A, and eight sectors for one track in the recording area B. At the tip of the sector, a header signal recording area Sa is provided and a data recording area Sb is formed behind. The recording of a large amount of information is available because each recording area has a section whose track pitch narrows gradually or the track pitch widens gradually as it moves near to the outer peripheral side. |
