PURPOSE:To provide the method and device for generating picture data without requiring complicated arithmetic operation and processing. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with RAM 13 storing picture data in plural units, ROM 12 storing operating programs CPU 11 retrieving the 1st and 2nd unit picture data corresponding to one end and the other end of split pictures of the objective image from the RAM 13 to be stored in VRAM 15 and interpolating the 1st and 2nd unit pictures by matching the 1st and 2nd unit picture data to the end and start coordinates on the display screen of a display 16, and VDP 14. Thus, the simple structure decreases the production cost and the method and device for generating picture data capable of supplying picture data with high accuracy in a short time can be provided. |
