[Also in Division H1] The arcuate motion of hinged armature 44 imparts a rotary motion to shaft 24 having return spring 22 through a single ball bearing 52 which runs in arcuate ball races 56, 54 (Fig. 3, not shown). In other embodiments (Figs. 5 to 10, not shown) various modifications of the ball race are shown. One of the ball races is preferably wider in cross-section then the crosssection of the ball so as to permit radial shifting of the ball from a normally inoperative position when actuated by the member 44. |
