<p>PURPOSE:To set the meandering speed of an endless belt into the appropirate value so as to prevent the generation of an ill effect such as color dislocation in the lateral direction. CONSTITUTION:The top dead center of a meandering correction cam 63 can be selected among three kinds (POS. A-C), and the bottom dead center is also selected among three kinds (POS. D-F). The respective offset speeds of an intermediate transfer belt 12 in the directions (a, b) are detected on the basis of the detection results of belt end part detecting sensors 72a, 72b. On the basis of these offset speeds, the rotation of a stepping motor 69 is controlled to select the top dead center and bottom dead center positions of the meandering correction cam 63.</p> |
