<p>PURPOSE:To mount a piston and a cover member on calipers in one work operation while they are prevented from moving by a control member and reduce the man-hours of mounting work by providing the control member for controlling the relative radial movement of the piston and the cover member. CONSTITUTION:A disk brake 1 includes a piston 7 slidingly fitted into a cylinder 12 provided in calipers 5 and a pair of pads 4a, 4b held between the piston 7 and a pawl 8 of the calipers 5 provided opposite thereto and put into contact with a disk 3 when the piston 7 slides. The cylinder 12 has a through hole 13 of a diameter a little larger than that of the piston 7 which passes through a part of the calipers 5. A cover member 14 is threadedly engaged with the calipers 5 in order to close an opposite side of the through hole 13 to the disk 3. The piston 7 and the cover member 14 are provided with a control part 42 for controlling the relative radial movement.</p> |
