New halogenoalkyl-azolyl derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> (I) in which R1 represents optionally substituted phenyl, R2 represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, acyl or aralkyl, X1 represents halogen, X2 represents halogen, n represents 0 or 1 and Y represents nitrogen or a CH group and their acid addition salts and metal salt complexes, are outstandingly effective as microbicides in plant protection and in the preservation of materials.
