PURPOSE:To attain data communication between personal computers for example, and to control a television receiver or the like remotely by using one infrared ray emitting diode. CONSTITUTION:A level conversion circuit 11 converts a level of a transmission data into a prescribed level. A modulator 12 applies FSK modulation to a carrier by using the transmission data subject to level conversion. In the case of the data communication mode, a CPU 1 selects a modulation signal from the modulator 12 and in the case of the remote command data transmission mode, the CPU 1 sends remote command data as the transmission data and controls a driver 13 to select the remote command data. The driver 13 amplifies the selected modulation signal or remote command data and drives an infrared ray emitting diode 14. |
