PURPOSE:To judge relationship of band components instantaneously by displaying a relative value between a reference intensity level determined based on the maximum intensity level among the intensity levels of the band components and the intensity levels of the individual band components by a display level control means. CONSTITUTION:A brain wave signal detected by a brain wave detection means is inputted into a microcomputer 97 and the signal is divided into band components as beta wave, FAST alpha wave. SLOW alpha wave and theta wave and rectified to detect the potential levels thereof. The potential levels thus obtained represent the intensity levels of the band components. Moreover, the microcomputer 97 discriminates the maximum value among the potential levels of the individual band components and a value Y obtained by smoothing the maximum value with a smoothing circuit is defined as reference intensity level. Values obtained by dividing the potential level X of the band components by the value Y are displayed in a bar graph on a display device 7 through a drive circuit 98. Thus, when the potential level of the band component is Y, an intensity level display of the band component is given at the position 1. |
