PURPOSE:To quickly and surely load/unload a cable drum on/from a supporting device. CONSTITUTION:A fixing and driving posts 3 and 4 are provided on a bed 1 in a facing state and a saddle which raises a cable drum D is provided between the posts 3 and 4 in such a state that the saddle can be freely elevated/lowered by means of a hydraulic mechanism. A through shaft 20 is passed through the center of the drum D. After the drum D is put on the saddle and raised to a prescribed position, a spline shaft is protruded by means of a hydraulic mechanism and put on the spline putting section of the shaft 20 and, at the same time, a sliding shaft is pushed out and inserted into the bearing 31 of the post 3. When the spline shaft is retreated, the sliding shaft is restored and the drum D can be removed.
