PRODUCTION OF BURNED CERAMIC

PURPOSE:To obtain a method for producing burned ceramics in which inserted powder can be prevented from binding to formed burned compacts and burning treatment can be carried out by a multistage stacking method even in the case of obtaining a precise product. CONSTITUTION:Nonsheetlike ceramic compacts (1) having unevennesses are stacked through inserting sheet (2) containing inorganic powder which has a larger grain diameter than that of inorganic powder burned in burning the ceramic compacts and is dispersed and held in the interior or/and the surface of base sheets containing the inorganic powder without melting at the burning temperature of the ceramic compacts in many stages and then are subjected to burning treatment. Thereby, spacer powder can be captured by the burned inserting sheets and the damage to the burned compacts can be avoided by eliminating the need of the operation to remove the bound powder. As a result, the objective burned compacts excellent in surface smoothness and dimensional accuracy can stably be formed in various burning atmospheres such as oxidizing or reducing ones.
