PURPOSE:To smoothly pass and discharge a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a leuco compd. and an org. acid developing a color upon the contact with the leuco compd. is provided on a support by coating the rear of the support with a low resistance treatment agent containing a guanidine salt or a salt of a guanidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a leuco compd. and an org. acid developing a color upon the contact with the leuco compd. is provided on a support, the rear of the support is coated with a low resistance treatment agent containing a guanidine salt (e.g. ganidine hydrochloride) or a salt of a guanidine derivative (e.g. ethylene oxide added guanidine hydrochloride). Further, it is pref. to together use a cationic polymer having a quaternary ammonium group. As a result, thermal recording material smoothly passed/discharged or subjected to printing even under a low humidity condition without lowering the color forming characteristics of recording paper or damaging a thermal head even in a thermal recording apparatus having a guide roll mechanism can be obtained. |
