PURPOSE:To facilitate a movement of a shift lever without enlarging a width dimension of a center console by providing a means to select a high speed or low speed side shift mode for manual speed change, and outputting a speed change signal according to a selected shift mode. CONSTITUTION:A shift position is provided to travel in an automatic or manual speed change mode, and when a shift lever is moved in respective positions, position detecting means 44 and 45 detect a selected range and speed change stage. When a control device 31 outputs a speed change output signal according to this, a hydraulic circuit is operated, so that respective speed change stages can be attained. A selecting means 51 is provided to select a high or low speed side shift mode where respective shift positions for the manual speed change mode are allocated to speed change stages in a low gear stage group, and outputs the speed change output signal according to a selected shift mode. Thereby, since the speed change stages can be attained in the limited shift positions, the speed change stages in the manual speed change mode can be increased without increasing the number of shift positions. |
