PURPOSE:To change the speed without returning a throttle grip. CONSTITUTION:A speed change control device incorporates a shift-up sensor 16 for detecting a speed change operation, and an output control means 17 for controlling an exhaust valve device 3. The control is carried out such that a valve element 4 in an exhaust valve device 3 is turned toward the closing side when the rotational speed of an engine exceeds a specified value and the shift-up sensor 16 detects a speed change operation. If a shift pedal 12 is operated so as to change the speed when the terms are satisfied, the engine power is lowered without returning a throttle grip. Since a load exerted upon a change mechanism in a speed change unit 11 upon speed change manipulation is temporarily lowered, the speed change can be made without returning the throttle grip. |
