PURPOSE:To provide a cordless telephone set in which various operation setting is simply restored to the initial state. CONSTITUTION:In the cordless telephone set having some functions able to select operations in which at least one of a master set (a) and a slave set (b) is provided with a setting information storage means 22 storing setting information 21 to designate the operation, an area to which setting information 25 for the initial state is stored is provided to the setting information storage means 22, and the telephone set is provided with a read means 26 reading the initial state setting information 25 in response to the selection of the initial state operation and with setting information initializing means 27,24,6 making the setting information 21 to designate the operation with read initial state setting information 25. When the initial state operation is selected, the initial state setting information 25 stored is stored to the setting information storage means 22 as the setting information to designate the operation thereby restoring each function operation to the initial state in the lump.
