PURPOSE:To realize accurate measurement of output by splitting a laser beam from a laser source into first and second split beams, converging the first split beam to an optical fiber while the second split beam to an output measuring means, and then controlling output from the laser source depending on an output thus measured. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam L from a laser source, i.e., a laser oscillator 2, is split through a laser splitting means 10 into first and second split beams L1, L2. A first converging lens 12 is disposed between an incident end 30 of an optical fiber 22 and the laser splitting means 10 whereas a second converging lens 14 is disposed between an incident part 19 of a detector 18 and the laser splitting means 10. The detector 18 detects the second split light L2 and delivers a detection signal S to a control circuit 6, which then performs feedback control of a laser power supply 4 based on the detection signal S thus received while furthermore instructs a laser output display circuit 8 to display output of laser beam L. This system enhances accuracy and safety in the measurement of laser output. |
